SVERYBODYS PICTURES. "DARING YOUTH”—TO-NIGHT As a distinct contrast to the many jazz pictures that have emerged and conquired the photoplay world of late, “Daring Youth,'’ the Master Picture which opens at tho Princess Theatre to-night offers an appeal for safe and sane llhmm'as. This brief summary might tend to indicate that the picture is all serious, which is far from being the case. It has a serious and novel, theme but tho idea is expressed so clearly and with such a sub-strata of humour that it provides an entirely satisfactory evening’s entertainment. -Not all tl«o pictures in the world will brush away the memory of Lee, Moran, of vaudeville fame, doing his stuff as a- disappointed poetic lover. There is a good deal more to “Daring Youth” than that, however. The picture takes on the theme of part time marriages as expounded by : Fannie Hurst and proceeds to exemplify it with a young couple of her own choosing. The temporary absences instead of bringing relief only create jealousies. Suitors crop up by the score, real, imaginary, and manufactured. fii the end caveman tactics win out. ft is a joy to see Norman Kerry asesrt himself and swing a husky right upon the gnats that have been hovering around his preserves. His right also lands a knock-' out on these now tangled marriage "leas so all’s well that ends well cxcpt that the picture should he seen to be appreciated. Hebe Daniels' contributes a beautiful, roving eliaractef iu the starring part while Norman Kerry is faultless and (lawless. Lee Moran, as previously stated, provides t.ho comic relief and does it in a Clinpliiicsqne manner. Tito other parts are taken by Lillian Langford, George Pearce and Arthur Hoyt. A good supporting programme including further chapters of the serial will also be screened.
