WEDDING BELL

A popular marriage was celebrated on Tuesday morning at St. Joseph’s Cl)tttell, Kiuiieri, when Doris, eldest daughter of Air and Airs IV. L. Fleming of Khnicri, Was united to Air J. Brown of Grcypioutli. Nuptial .Mass was celebrated by Rev. Dr Kennedy. The church was prettily decorated by girl friends of tbe bride. Tlio bride, who entered tbe church oil the arm of her father, was charmingly attired in an ensemble frock of deep mauve repp, cloth with touches of champagne suede, mauve hat to match, and carried a bouquet of mauve and yellow ilowers. She was attended by her sister, Lorraine, who wore a dainty froc-k of pale apricot silk and apricot hat. Her bouquet harmonised with her frock. Air Tui Seobeek carried out the duties of best mail. Airs Fleming, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue maroc-ain frock and hat to match. After the wedding ceremony, Ah- ami Airs Fleming c iftortained a large number of guests at their residence to a wedding breakfast, where the usual toasts were honoured. The dining room was decorated with mauve and yellow streamers and balloons, and the tables with {lowers of the same shade. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a gold expanding wristlet watch mid to the bridesmaid n silver expanding wristlet watch. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a set of xylonite military hushes. The newly-married couple were tile, recipients of numerous presents. Air and Airs .Brown left by motor eii route to Christdliftreh and Wellington, where the honeymoon vvill lie spent. The bride travelled in a rustcoloured frock with hat and coat to match. Their future home will be in Grcvmouth.
