Butler ran 300 yards in 30 2-5 secs., equalling the American, Weser’s, record. Rose did a mile in a limited handicap from scratch in 4.27 2-5. A London policeman, Witfen. with 66 yards start* won in 4.20 1-5. Comment is made on Rose’s poor time, which fails to compare with pertormances in New Zealand though he has done better here in training than in races. A trinnguler mutch was won hy Civil Service team 18 points, London Athletic Club having seventeen and Dominion students 13.

AVeightman Smith heat Lord Buileigli in the 120yds hurdles in 15 2-5. Homier (Australia) won the long jump in 24.55, Steyn (South Africa) being second with 21.11.
