AMUSEMENTS.

everybodys pictures, “ 110CGH. GOING TO-NIGHT. Rough Going” is the offering tonight at the Princess Theatre and wo venture to predict that it will crowd the house. The picture is billed as a comedy western, featuring Frankiyn Farnum in the lead and Marion Harlan as co-star. Ihe two work together delightfully, both giving spirited performances. Frankiyn Fnrnum plays the .part of a Hollywood hero who, tired of the constant attentions of women, retires for a month to work, incognito, on the ranch of a. far-famed woman hater, bar from finding the quiet and rest he had hoped for the actor lets himself in for more adventure and excitement than Hie had ever seen or heard of in all, Hollywood, and in addition the end of his vacation finds him no burger the professed woman hater hut the adoring lianeee of the lilile HPh girl who had come all < the way ‘1 ironi New Nork to find ease and conilort with her rich, ranch-owning uncle. Mr Fnrnum, is given ample opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities in the ■calm ol comedy and he more than measures up to this opportunity. In no picture in which we have seen this star recently has lie photographed quite so well or infused his acting with as much spirit and apparently genuine enjoyment as lie does in this one. From the moment lie first appears up to the very last shot lie i.s delightful. As the snappy little Irish girl full of spirit and possessed of a snappy Irish temper, .Marion Harlan is the very essence of charm. She is sprightly, attractively coy, and pretty added to which she really acts. The featured players are supported by a cast each member of which does full justice to his or her part. Much of the comedy of the film is supplied bv “ -Mitlier Burke,” an Irish Lady of large proportions, a large heart, and an overflowing sense of humour. Buck Black as Mickey, the I little cripple contributes a note of •' genuine pathos and shows promise of a - real luture on the screen. The serial 1 niul comedy will also he shown. I
