ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. A BIG ENTRY. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Alatson and Co. report as follows regarding tlieir stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Alt exceptionally heavy yarding for this time of the year, reminding one of the big March fairs. A large proportion oi the entry comprised North Island ewes, which generally speaking, were of a very inferior quality and were generally hard of sale. Any good local ewes with bonaiide warraniry were firm is wore any decent sorts of lambs. Wethers however were somewhat easier. North Island 4, 6 and 8 tooth ewes 20s to 22s Gd; uncertain ages 15s/ to 18s: low conditioned and travel stained 12s to 15s Gd. Local s.m. ewes to 28s (id; good condition failing mouth ewes 20s to 25s 9d : best wethers 24s lo 20s; medium 21s to 23s Gd; others 1.0 IGs J bred wether lambs 17s to 2ls. One extra good pen ditto ewe lambs 28s 7<l. Store Cattle.—A small yarding and with the exception of one nice pen of 3.1 year hereford bullocks which realised £lO, really no quotable linos were offered. Beef.—Another large yarding with a bigger proportion of cow and heifer beef than lately. The market generally was slightly easier but any prime medium weights either heifers or steers held tlieir own. All round, the market showed little quotable, difference. No North Island cattle wore vardcil. Prime steers £l3 15s to £l7: extra to £l9 2s Gel; medium £lO to £l3 IGs : others to £7. Prime heifers £9 to £ll ss; extra to £l3 12s Gd . medium £7 to £8 15s: others to £4 12s. Prime cows £? 15s to £lO 10s, medium. £5 10s to £7 10s; others to £3 15s.

Fat Pigs.—A small entry of porkers and a usual entry of baeoners. Porkers were in keen demand owing to short supply whilst baeoners were easier than late- rates. 5 alues; Fight porkers 55s to 655: heavy 70s to 80s : average 9cl and lOd. Light baeoners £4 7s to £5 : heavy £5 5s to £6; extra to £6 15s; average 83 to BJd Choppers £3 10s to £9 3s 6d. Store P(,n-s. —A small entry, good demand and prices firm throughout, Values: Moaners 20s to 255: small stores 26s to 30s; medium 34s to 43s ; large 50s to 355. Mnttofh,—Another • exceptionally heavy yarding, more ewes than last week and the quality generally hardly as good as recently. Exporters were operating keenly for any stuff suitable for their requirements. The market opened slightly easier than last week hut improved as the sale progressed and closed firm at quite Is to Is 6d above opening rates. Prime wethers 31s to 345; extra to 37s Id: medium 2Ss fid to 30s Gd; otheis to 24s 9d. Prime ewes 21s fid to 25s fid; extra to 34s lOd ; medium 18s to 21s; lighter and inferior to 12s fid. Fat Lambs. —A very small entry comprising mostly tail ends and he quality generally was indifferent, but a good sale right through and schedule rates were fully maintained. It looks as though we are about the end of the lamb season.
