A meeting of the Committee of the Westland Racing Club will he held qt 8.30 o’clock to-morrow night to deal with business coming forward at the forthcoming Raring Conference. The Westland County Council is calling tenders for next meeting for the completion of the metalling of Wall Road, Koiterangi. This will he good news to the settlers affected in that locality.

The usual weekly meeting of the West Coast Bug by Union was held last evening at Greymotiih. A letter was received from the Boss Club relative to the re-classifieation by the Westland Sub-Union of J. Bannister from senior to junior.—lt was resolved that the letter he referred hack to the Club, instructing them that any correspondence must he passed through the Westland Sub-Union. Nelson Union wrote advising of a conference of Hcdchm Shield Unions on 2(ilh June in Nelson, regarding arrangements for the tour to the North Island. Inungabua Sub-Union wrote asking for either a representative or Club fixture at an early date, preferably a “pay” Saturday.—lt was resolved to advise the Sub-Union that this Union was now negotiating with lluller Union to play in Westport on 3rd or 10th July, and would he prepared to play liinngahuu on the ith or 11th July. Nelson Union wrote asking for a guarantee for a match with their representatives on the Coast this season.—lt was resolved to offer the Nelson Union At) per rent, of the nett gate. A communication was received from the South Canterbury Union, as they had already pencilled 11 tic September. Besolved to write the ’Referees’ Association asking it to instruct referees to take firm action with a view of stopping incessant talking during the progress ol matches.
