The Executive sat at 7.30 p.m. Present : .Messrs T. AY. Duff (vico-Chair-man), W. Jeffries, Craw, AY. Wilson, Elcoc'k, D. J. Evans, J. Morris, AY. D. .Maekay, J, J. Mclntosh.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The outward correspondence was approved. The Chairman extended a welcome lo .Messrs Wilson and Eleock, new members and congratulated Mr Jeffries on his election to the County Chairmanship.
Apologies were made for the absence of Dr Teichelmunn (President) and Mr W. Butler.

From -Marine Department notifying the Tutanekai would sail from Bluff to the AYest Coast Sounds and Jacksons Bay about September 2nd.—Deceived and referred to the President. From Internal Affairs regretting advertising booklets could not lie purchased for the Toronto Exhibition, but the New Zealand representatives would he glad to distribute advertising matter from, the New Zealand Court at Lite Exhibition.—Deceived and referred to the President.
From Canterbury Progress League suggesting further issue of the booklet.— Deceived and referred to President.
From N.Z. Native Birds’ Protection Society suggesting setting up Board to control care oi birds in the Dominion, particularly in regard to reserves and sanctuaries. Deceived. It was rosolved vo reply that the ground appeared to be fully covered now by exisfing authorities. From Canterbury and Marlborough Progress Leagues forwarding copy ol minutes of recent meetings.—Deceived. From Southland K.xtension League forwarding particulars ol recent conference with local members of Parlia-ment.-—Deceived. From Public AYorks Department, notifying it was not intended to proceed with tbe loading scheme at .Jackson Bay at present.—Deceived. CEiVF.PAL. On the motion of Mr Jeffries it was resolved to write congratulating, the Duller County Council on the decision to concentrate on the AVcstpoiT-Grcy-moutli Coast road by abandoning the national vote for the Duller Gorge railway, and utilise the money for the speedy completion ol the Coast road. it was stated that the winter school this year would be held at Murchison, Duller and fiiangahua. The meeting concluded at 8.20 p.m. with a vote of thanks to the chair.
