EVERYTHING SETTLED.
SYDNEY, June 21. Everything is now in order for the resumption of work by the miners tomorrow. The striking engine drivers and firemen number a thousand returned on Friday and Saturday to prepare the mines. Efforts are being made to settle several sectional disputes, which were in existence before the general strike began. The trouble at C’oalcliff over the wages which has been in existence since the lieginning of the year, has been settled. A -hitch occurred at South Afaitland field over conditions of work. AA ith the mines resuming the question ol relief orders for the unemployed will "ease to be a big matter it is at present with the police department. During the past few weeks the average ’lumber of orders issued per week has been four hundred. The value of each ranging from 6s 6d to 31s Gd. <t is expected that claims will he made till the first pay is received. The shinping companies are making preparations to resume the time-tables which have been disorganised by a shortage of coal.
