TIIEA Tlt E-GOER S’ DI YE It SION. i WELLINGTON, Juno 14. Those people standing outside the Grand Opera House at about luilf-nast seven on Saturday night were treated to ail amusing interlude to enliven the rather tiresome period of waiting. Evidently tlio more thoughtful of those enthusiasts who had braved a long wait in the queue in order to obtain seats in tlio gallery bail provided themselves with temporary seats in thci form of empty kerosene tins, so as to make the period of waiting as comfortable as possible. On Saturday Wellington was living up to its reputation of being n city of winds, and in tlio evening conditions were very blusterous. Those in the vicinity of the Opera. House at this time were suddenlp conscious of a most unpleasant noise, and saw first one tin and then four more following in rapid succession, roll along into Manners Street from the load in which the queue had been waiting. One after the other they bounded across tlio street, and continuing their journey for some ten or twenty yards, when they lay forlornly on the side of the road tijl they were removed by a couple ol small guys, who seemed rather disappointed that this promising and diverting entertainment had come so quickly to an end.
