Liberal candidates’ meeting on 12th it was reported that a Liberal Peer had offered to contribute a million sterling to the Liberal Party funds, on condition that Mr Lloyd George no longer be associated with the party. Lively exchanges are expected at the forthcoming conference of the National Liberal Federation, which Lord Oxford and Asquith and Lloyd George will attend.
