In perfect weather, and in the presence of a record attendance for a hockey match, the Indian Army team this afternoon defeated Buller by nine goals to nil. The visitors played a brilliant gam-?, especially the first spell, when they rattled up 7 goals. Parlies, the Buller custodian, saved brilliantly numerous hot shots at the goal.

In the second spell, Duller held the visitors well, repeatedly putting them on the defence, hut failing to combine in finishing touches. The visitors added two more goals to their score, the last just on time.
