BALDWIN AT EDINBURGH
(Received this day at 12.25 p.m.) LONDON, June 7,
“ The Apostle of Peace,” “ Tlio Mai) of the Hour,*’ were descriptions applied to Hon. Baldwin (Prime Minister) by the Moderator of the Asselnhly of the Church of Scotland and the Lord Provost, respectively, on tlhe occasion of ' the visit of Mr Baldwin to Edinburgh to receive the Freedom of the City. Acknowledging the Freedom of the City • M.r Baldwin paid a tribute to the Scots’ contribution to the British character, which was wholesome and purifying, strengthening and safe. He regretted the post-war dimimiition of the spirit of adventure was slackening the flow of migration to the Dominions, but be believed the tide had turned.
