SCULLING.
[Australian A- X./. Cable Association.] SYDNEY, Juno 5. Burns won by seven lengths in the Australian Sculling Championship, which was decided at Woodburn on the Richmond River. There was a large attendain*?. The weather was overcast with a slight breeze against the scullers. After a magnificent struggle over the first mile, the race was only a one man affair. Scroops once held Rums during the mile; hut then came to the end of his tether. Burns forging ahead slowly, and establishing a lead of six lengths when the two miles was reached. The first mile took Cmin. lOsecs., and the second 7 min. 18ese. From that point, Burns, who was easily the more finished ■ sculler, was content to maintain a lead, and, rowing steadily, won by seven lengths in 21 mi ns. 12sccs.
