The Federal Ministry has decided to appoint Sir John Monash, a Royal Commission to investigate matters in regard to the work of the British Phosphate Coy at Nauru. AVIATION TRAGEDY. SYDNEY, June 3. An 'aeroplane from the Point Cook flying school crashed from a consider-* able height at Laverton, Cadet A. Pcrcival being killed. NAURU COMMISSION. MELBOURNE, June 3. In the House of Representatives, Mr Bruco announced the Federal Government was appointing a royal commis- • sion to enquire into the working ot British Nauru. Questioned regarding the proposed transfer of the office of tho commission from Australia to New Zealand, Mr Bruco said that no arrangements have yet been reached to retain tho office ill Australia. There were seveif.il questions' in regard to the conduct of tho business, and the relation with commissioner, which required very full investigation, and for that purpose, a royal commission had been appointed. Pending the investigatiou tlio Commonwealth hid asked Now Zealand and Imperial Governments not to take any further action regard- . - ing the removal of the office. x TRAIN" MURDER. PERTH, June 4. In connection with the shooting of Greville. the police at Northam arrested a young man aboard the transcontinental train. It is stated that tl*ey recovered from him all missing money except his train fare, and also an empty revolver. Roytson Rennie was charged with the murder of Greville. When arrested hie was disguised, having taken out his false teeth, and assumed a limp, and discarded his overcoat, presenting an entirely different appearance from the man who attacked the two bank clerks.
