AEAHURA FAT STOCK SALE
Messrs M. Houston and Co report:— Our entry at the fortnightly sales held in the above yards yesterday consisted of 80 fat sheep, 120 breeding ewes, and 47 head of fat cattle. There was only a moderate attendance of buyers and competition was not so keen as at the previous fixture, with the result that prices were somewhat easier for fat cattle, especially cows of which there was a fairly large yarding, mostly aged and of indifferent quality. Good quality bullocks sold almost on a par with last sale and realized up to 38s per hundred, good heifer beef to 32s (id, and cow beef from 22s to 27s Gd, according to quality. Fat sheep realized full market values. AVe sold as follows: On account of R. A. Hareourt, 80 fat ewes at 275; on account of AA’m. Berry, 110 breeding ewes at 28s; on account of a client 12 breeding ewes at 30s, 1 ram at 30s, 1 wether at 28s; on account of John Bradley, 1 fat cow at £5 17s Gd. 2 heifers at £4 17s Gd, 1 at £3; on account of AT. Keenan. 2 fat cows at £*o os, 3 heifers at £4 los, 1 voider at £3 17s Gd. lat £2 17s Gd, 1 at £3 10s, I cow at £5 los, 1 steer at £8 os, 1 heifer at £6 12s Gd; on account of AA r . A. Jamieson, 1 heifer at £5 los, 5 cows at £6; on account of John Adamson. 3 bullocks at £ll ss, 2 at £lO 17s Gd, 3 at £9 7s Gd, 1 at fil l 12s Gd, 2 at £l2 os, 2 at £ll 17s Gd. 1 at £lO, 2 at £lO 17s 6d, 1 cow at £5 los. 1 heifer at £7 17s Gd, 1 cow at £5 12s Gd, 2 stags at £8 17s Gd.
