STILL IN PROCRESS. A CORRECTION Yesterday we published a table message intimating that the coni strike at Home liad been settled. This is not correct. The message, which was mutilated during transmission through the Telegraph Office should have read as follows LONDON, May .30, The Warwickshire miners are resuming, accepting the owners’ terms of pre-strike wages and an eight hours' day. This is totally different to the statement published which read: “The coal miners are resuming, et'c'.,’’ the error being due to faulty ti atisniissioil through the Telegraph Office. [Australian dfc N.Z. Cable Association.] A STALEMATE, LONDON, May 30. At midnight to-morrow Mr Baldwin’s offer of a taperilig subsidy to the coni industry expires, but there is no sign of any escape from the stalemate.' The miners leaders continue to put up negotiations, turning down Varloy’s small wage and Hodge’s longer working day.
