Australia & N.Z. Calks Association.j STEAMERS HELD UP. SYDNEY. May 31. Owing to tbe shortage of coal the inter-State • passenger steamers Katoomba and Zealandia will be laid up when they reach Sydney. The Queensland passenger services will continue on a limited scale, the steamers being able to secure hunkers. At Brisbane additional cargo steamers are also laid up. There is no apparent prospect of an early settlement of the trouble. Both sides are standing firm, the miners’ delegate board meets to-morrow, the engine-drivers’ executive is to meet daily till the dispute ends.
