THE WORLD'S BEST. The erection of a War Memorial Carillon in Wellington, one of the finest in the World, is now definitely assured. On Friday, at the conclusion of the fitfh day of the campaign it was announced that no less than 24. offers of bells had been received that day, making a total of 34 applications for 44 of the required total of 49 hells. This (says the “Post”) represents an unprecedented success for any appeal for any public object in Wellington, and the offers, coming as they have done from X.Z.E.F. units, firms with rolls of honour, next-of-kin, suburban districts, lodges, Public Service Associations, and loading citizens, should go to provo'-that the people of Wellington are strongly desirous of seeing a Grand Carillon erected as a fitting memorial to the 1700 men of Wellington, who gave their lives for their country. >
