PEACE OVERTURES. PARIS, May 25. Abil-cl Krim’s offer to aeeept the French peace terms followed the capturo of Tarquist, which means the Frnneo-Spanish forces occupy the whole eastern half of the .Riff country. l’lie French progress, during the last ten days’ offensive amounts to an advance of fifteen miles on a hundredmile front. The tribes on which Abdel Krim chiefly relied, have deserted him. The “Daily Express’s’’ Paris correspondent says the French Govcrn- - ment will probably refuse to negotiate with Abd-cl Krim and demand his personal surrender. PARIS, May 24. Ihe occupation of Tarcjuist has broken Abd-el Krim’s power. Krim is reported to have appealed to France’s generosity, and to have offered to capitulate, and accept the terms previously refused at Oujda, including his own exile. LONDON, May 21. Apparently a new peace move is being made in -Morocco. Official quarters in Paris confirm the report that M. Parent, a member of the Red Cross Mission, has arrived at Fez, with a letetr for M. Steeg, a French rseident. Tlio French Council of Ministers will discuss the matter to-morrow. PARIS, May 25. The Quni d’Orsny confirms the report that Abd-el Krim, in a letter to M. Steeg, throws himself on tho clemency of tho French Government.
