A. Torrance 3 and 2; W. B. Torrance beat Hentley 2 and 1; Stuart Ross (Australian) was scratched. Torrance Mitchell, Scott, Hope, Hartley, Layton and Americans Mackenzie (junior), Vonelai, Sweeter. Waldo hive entered for the second round. 'Flic defeated included Simpson and Americans Brooks.-Font's. Ryle, Rixev and Mackenzie (senior).
