EVERYBODYS PICTURES, ‘‘MCK TUEPIxXIayeDNESD AY. I.om Mix’s latest picture depicts the stirring deeds of England's famous robber, Dick r i urpin and because of Dick's bold attacks and clashing escapes this new William Fox picture is as full of thrills as an egg of subsunce. That the “Boltin Hood of the Hoad” out-guessed, out-fought and outrode the officers ot the law follows as a dramatic certainty and the story closes with Dick and his lovely bride safely at home in France. Students of the stirring era when Swift Nick. Fielder, Rust, Ooatcs, Bose, Peace, Palmer, CYippcn, King, and Turpin rode the roads.and robbed coaches and houses will at once appreciate the possibilities of Turpin’s life: for a delineation by Tom Mix. Dick was younger than the other famous rascals of his time, far less brutal, far gayer and lar more generous to the poor. He robbed the haughty Lords and laughed at their anger and as lie took the purses of the lovely ladies he smilingly swept the ground with the plumes of his I
hat in graceful obeisance. He dressed like a London dandy and nightly took his life in his hands Ivy visiting the White Hart inn in Drury Lane to sip his ale. There he wits known as John Palmer, Barrister—a good fellow and a spender with a well lined purse. In this picture titled “Dick Turpin,” extra, care was taken with every detail, for it will rank us Tom Mix’s masterpiece, being far more elaborate and far more expensive than anything in which Mr Fox has presented him. Director John Blystone surrounded him with a powerful east. Alan Hale has the great role of Tom King. Kathleen Myers, who is acclaimed one of 't/ho most beautiful women on the screen, has the lending feminine role; Philo McCullough has that of “Lord Charlton,” .Rimes Marcus is scon as Sqtliro Crabtree, and Bull Montana as Bully Boy a fighter of the Old School, is at his ugly best. “Dick Turpin” will be the feature attraction I at the Princess Theatre on Wednesday and it is promised as an extraordinary novelty replete, with thrills and Tom Mix with a hag of brand-new tricks. Coining on Thursday next * Rex Bench's famous story “The Spoilers,” starring Milton Sills, Noah Berry, Rockclilfo Fellows, Anna Q. Nillson and other stars.
