west coast rigid: UNION. At the Executive meeting at Greymouth last evening Nelson Union advised its intention to send a team at the latter end of the season Lo the Coast. The same Union also wrote regarding the proposed Lour of a team representing the Seddon Shield Unions to play Hawke’s Bay. Poverty Bay, and AVelliugton in September. It was resolved that this Union fall in with the suggestion. The New Zealand Union advised nominations close on June 2nd for the South Island teams. It was decided to hand local nominations to the selectors, ami Mr A. A. Adams was elected selector for Grey, the AA'eslland and Inangaliita sub-unions lo he asked to nominate their selectors.
Referees’ reports for last Saturday’s games were received as satisfactory. Tt was decided to write South Canterbury, Ashburton and Canterbury Unions offering them tentative dates for a West Coast tour as follows: South Canterbury. September 4 ; Ashburton. September 8 or 9; and Canterbury, September 11. ft was derided to write Aforivnlc juniors to visit here on September 1 or 11 to play a local junior rep team, nml also to invite the Old Boys’ Club to send iis senior team here again this year on any date the club might suggest-. Ft was decided to write to Hokitika Club in reference to its players turning out in improper attire and being a quarter of an hour late on the field for their last fixture.
