ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. A GOOD SALE. (By Telegraph.—Special to Guardian.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Messrs H. Matson and Co. report as follows regarding their stock sale at Addington yards yesterday:— Store Sheep.—A medium yarding and comprised mostly of travelled and shipped sheep. More wethers were offering than usual. The market for any good young owes or forward wethers and lambs was firm but old or travelled ewes showing signs of travel with doubtful guarantees as to tupping were easier. Best three-quarter bred ewe lambs to 2Ss 6d, medium 20s to 21s; gi\od M.S. lambs 19s to 21s fid, best forward wethers 26s 3d, medium 22s to 21s Oil; others to 18s. . Store . Cattle.—A medium entry but no really quotable lines offering. Eat Rigs.—A small entry and good sale throughout. Porkers opened firmer than last week and improved slightly ns the sale progressed. The whole of this section were much better finished than usual. Values: porkers 46s to 54s ; heavy 57s fid to fi7s, average price S.Vd to 9jd. Baconers opened firmly at late rates and held throughout. gooil prices being realised. Values : Light baconers £3 Ills to -fc‘4 10s ; heavy £-1 15s to £5 15s; extra to £0 Ss; average 8d to I’d. Choppers, a small entry, and*slight improvement in large stores, others selling at late rates. Values—AVeaners 9s- to 18s; slips 19s to 235; small stores 29s to 335, medium 35s to 38s; large tip to 535. Beef.—A fair yarding, hut about 50 head short of last week. The quality generally showed a good improvement and more steers than usual. Any prime quality steeps and heifers showed improvement on last sale, but cows and indifferent quality showed little if any difference. Prime steers £l4 10s to £l9, extra to £2l 12s fid. medium £ll 10s to £l4. others to £6 15s, prime heifers £9 10s to £l2. extra to £l3 15s, medium £7 to £9 ss, others to £5. Prime cows £8 10s to £ll 15s. medium £fi to £8 ss, others to £3 ss.

Mutton. —A very large yarding, including more wethers than usual. Exporters were operating keenly on any medium ewes or lighter wethers. Graziers were also competing for this class of stuff. The quality all round generally was good but the market in out- opinion hardly was as good as last week. Prime wethers 31s fid to 34s ; extra to 3fis. medium~2Bs to 31s, others to 20s. prime ewes 22s to 265, extra to 2£s 3d. medium 19s to 21s fid; others to 12s fid.

Eat Lambs.—A small yarding hut a good sale. Prices well up to and in nmnv eases, over schedule rates.
