' CENTRAL RIDING ELECTION.

The poll for the election of three members of the Central Riding of the Westland County Council took place yesterday under wet weather conditions. The result was made known shortly after 7 o’clock as follows: E. A. Wells 240 votes T. 11. Chesterman 201 ~ L. 11. Morel 195 „ M. Keenan 163 ~ H. A. Boddiugton 163 ~ H. A. Bauck© 156 ~ The official count will take place at 2 o’clock to-morrow (Friday) afternoon at the County Chambers. Tlie previous election tlireo years ago resulted: T. R. Chesterman 182, E, A. Welle 164, M. Keenan 161. H. L. Morel 141, H. A. Baucke 104, R. Meharry 62. Tlie details of tlie voting are as follows :

R,yall, D. Baybutt, P. Donnellan, H. G. Carter and A. Blair respectively, continue in office. HOSPITAL BOARD. As Messrs H. G. Carter and A. Robinson withdrew from tlie election for the Grey Hospital Board, no election was necessary. 'Hie sitting members—J. W. Hannan, J. P. Irvine and -J. J.
