At a meeting of the Committee ol the West Coast Rugby Union held last evening the liiangahua Sub-Union wrote advising having sent the Primary Schools’ Shield to Hokitika School, last season’s winners. Mr A. A. Adams was nominated from this Union as one of the South Island selectors for the ensuing year. A Star senior player (Nelson) who was ordered off the field in the recent Star v. Hokitika match was placed on the caution list.. A Subcommittee consisting of Messrs Robertson. Kyle and Ryan were appointed to go into the matter of the cost of tlie intended tour of the AA est Coast representative team to Canterbury, South Canterburv and Ashburton this Season ; also to arrange re a junior representative match with Canterbury. Word was received from Southland Union that they intended touring to the West Coast this season, and giving the provisional date for match on Saturday, August 7th. A suggestion is also to hand from the New Zealand Union that the Seddon Shield teams should tour Hawke’s Bay. Poverty Bay and Manawntu this season. The Marlborough delegate on tlie New Zealand Union also advised that everything pointed to that Union touring West Coast and Duller this season, as also the Canterbury Old Boys have signified their intention of another trip to the Coast this season.
