REVIEWING ADMINISTRATION OF ESTATES
Whatever may be the nature of the estate that comes under the administration of the Public Trustee, every possible care is taken to conserve the interest of the persons concerned. A system of inspection has been established to ensure what is practically a continuous audit of the administration of each estate. Matters to which specia attention is devoted are:— (1) That vigorous measures are taken to get in or obtain control of every asset and, where an asset is not to bo realised, that it is made income producing at the earliest possible date. (2) That special consideration is given to the administration of business undertakings and assets of a wasting or speculative or hazardous nature. (3) That the covenants and conditions attached to leases and mortgages are properly observed. (4) That the beneficiaries are consulted and kept closely in touch with the administration of the estate in which, they are interested.
