The first number has been issued of the “New Zealand Railways A’laga•zine,” a monthly publication prepared by the Railway Department. The magazine is the officially recognised medium for maintaining contact between the administration, the employees and the public, and for disseminating knowledge hearing on matters of mutual interest and educative value. The magazine is delivered free to all employees in the service. It is an attractively printed and well arranged paper of forty-eight pages and contains articles and illustrations of topical and technical interest.
