At the last minute tho plans for the search for land in the Arctic Ocean were changed, and tho machine will now proceed on an eight-hour dash from Point Barrow out over the Arctic Ocean. She will travel for four hours to tho northward, and for four hours to tho southward. Then she will refuel at Point Barrow for a return flight to Fairbanks.” One day is scheduled for the preparations at Point Barrow before the reconnaissance. A store of 230 gallons of gasolene that has been freighted to Point Barrow by tho sister plane “Alaskan” awaits the “Detroiter,”' and with an additional five hundred gallons of gasolene that was loaded here by the “Detroiter,” her supply is declared to be sufficient to carry out the new plan for the adventure sot as the climax of the exhibition.
