POLICE DOG TEAM’S CHASE. EDMONTON, March 22. In Canada's far north no trapper's cabin is ever left locked while the owner is away on the trap-line, and the traveller seeking food or 0 night’s shelter knows that every log-cabin along the river hank has a welcome for him. Recently word reached the Alberta Provincial Police that somebody had actually stolen goods from a trapper’s Hibin—a crime which had not been committed for years —and Constable I Heneock, of Athahaska, set out with j his team of dogs for the scene. Thirty five miles a. dayjie travelled with liis dogs for 400 miles, and eventually got bis man and brought him in for trial, bringing in some of the stolen goods as evidence.
