Notwithstanding unfavourable weather there was a large attendance in St. Aiuliew’s Hall on Thursday night I to give a farewell to Air and Airs Aitken. 1 here were speeches by Kev. I P. li. Fraser. Mr T. Bruce and Mr *l. .Murdoch, all eulogistic of our departing friends, and expressing sincere regret at losing their presence from our midst. On behalf of the members of the Presbyterian Congregation, Air Fraser presented Mr and Mrs Aitken with valuable gifts that will always he useful reminders of old friends not torgetting also Afrs Stevenson, non. so long the delight of her friends. There was an ample supply for supper. and Air Fraser c-onrituled a very socialahle and pleasant evening with an exhibition of views of Egypt and Palestine.
