flood damage. I GREYMOUTH, May 8. Heqw rains, over two inches, yestenlav caused slifs on the railway between Knimata and Moana. Trams will he unable to get through to-day. but it is hoped to re-open the line on Monday. A wash-out at Matai on the Reef ton line, is temporarily suspending traffic. The river (Grey) is in heavy flood and steamers have all' chain cables out with engines going against the current. All the local sports today are cancelled. It is still raining, hut there are signs of it clearing-
