Tho usual weekly euchre and dance took placo at St. Mary’s club rooms on Tuesday evening. The attendance was large, over 100 players competing for the valuable prizes offered. After a keen play-off, the first prize was won by Mr Hamilton. The second prize was won by Mrs G. Voale, the third by .Miss K. Murphy, and the fourth by Air Murks. The music for the dance was supplied by Miss 11. Jacobs. I fio members of the ladies committee, of the Chrysanthemum Show, who have been actively engaged during tho last few days in the. town and country, for Hie purpose of soliciting entries, are meeting with very favouraide support, both in the promise of l-lie number of entries, and also in cash assistance. Those well-wishers towards the object, in view, whom tho ladies may not bo able to call upon, can assist by notifying any of the members of the committee, or the Vicar, the Rev. Mr Perkins, any of whom would be pleased to attend to t-heir wishes of support.
