Panckhurst, the well known mason of Reefton, had the misfortune to have the top of the third finger on the left hand taken right off recently. He was construcing a septic tank for a Cronadun resident when a slab of concrete fell on the finger, cutting the top off. He will be unable to uso the hand for some time.
