MARRIAGE

The wedding took place yesterday afternoon at the Red Lion Hotel, of .Miss Mary Margaret (.Maisie) Mclntosh, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. J. Mclntosh to Mr James Frederick Perham eldest sou of Mr and Mrs R. J. Perham, all of Hokitika. The ceremony was performed hy the Rev. P. B. Fraser in the presence of the families of the contracting parties, relatives and intimate friends. The bride, who looked becoming in a graceful frock of blue satin nioracain, also wore a tulle veil to match. She carried a beautiful bouquet of orange blossom sprays, lightly touched with blue. The hrdiesnv.iid was a younger sister, Miss Lorn a Mclntosh, who wore a flame satin dress, with veil headdress to match in accord with the pleasing flocking. Miss Mclntosh also carried a bouquet. The best man was Mr Richard Perham, brother of the bridegroom.

Following the ceremony the bridal couple and guests were entertained at a wedding feast at the Red Lion Hotel, where several toasts were given and best wishes extended to the newlvmarried couple. The bride- was the recipient of several valuable presents, including some substantial cheques and useful articles for household management. Tho bride and bridegroom exchanged useful presnts, and tlie bridesmaid was the recipient of a bridal present from the bridegroom. Later in the afternoon the bridal couple motored ot Greymouth. and left this morning for Timaru where the honeymoon will be spent.

Last evening many friends of the contracting parties assembled at the Red Lion Hotel when a pleasant time was passed in festivities. At supper the parents of the bride and bridegroom were toasted and several happy speeches made in appreciation of the host and hostess for tho evening and Mr and Mrs Perham,
