EVERYBODYS PICTURES. REGINALD DENNY, TO-NIGHT. Teaching an inexperienced person the latest dance stops in one lesson i.s the somewhat startling feat actually accomplished in Reginald Denny’s latest starring vehicle, “I’ll Show You the Town,” the Universal-Jewel feature to open at the Princess Theatre to-night. “I’ll Show You the Town,” adapted from Elmer Davis’ rollicking novel of the same name, tells the story of an unroinantio college professor who, in order to obtain a gift for his defunct college, woos and nearly wins the heart of a wealthy window. In his courtship of Agnes Clevenger, played by Cissy Fitzgerald, Aloe Dupree (Reginald Denny) is railed upon to show her tho sights of the town —which lie does. In their sojourn through the metropolis Aggie, as she is afiectiouately known, insists that she he dined and wined at the famous '‘flanging Gardens Cafe,” the centre of the town’s night life. Alec dare not refuse to perform the slightest wish or desire ol the wealthy widow. He even goes so lar as to “dance’ with her although neither of them had liecn on a dance floor in vears. A waiter on the balcony comes to the assistance of the inexperienced dancers on the floor below. Ho is pine, ing ice in a row ol glasses when a piece of the ice slips from his lingers and falls over the balustrade down into tho collar of Alec who, inspired by the sudden chill, starts to shimmie as no one ever shimmied before. The lingers of the right hand which were resting on Aggie’s hack, unconsciously “tickle.” tho widow, and together they glide over the smooth floor as “experienced” fancy dancers. The performance is so realistic that the other dancers make way for Alee and his partner and give them a- "big hand at the end of their exhibition. Hie supporting oast iiulndo such populai favourites as Marian Nixon. Edward Kimball. I.ilyan Tashman. Hayden Stevenson. Margaret Livingstone, XocL Edwards. William A. Carroll.
