The explosion shattered every window in the Treasury building, but though the Treasury adjoins the police station, no alarm was given. The loot is believed to have been transported to Florida in a motor-boat. To-day was spent by the currency officials in collecting coins and notes scattered by the explosion and in estimating the loss to the Treasury. Mr Spencer William, son of the turnkey of Nassau gaol, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the robbery. lie pleaded not guilty, and has been remanded in custody in default of a bond of £2,000.
