DISTRICT RACING COMMITTEE.

The Committee met at Greymouth yesterday afternoon. Present: Messrs Contes (chair), Perotti, McGregor, Gilbert, Doogan. Behan, Kettle and I'lvans. The reports from the autumn race meetings were received and approved, and the lines imposed eonnnned. I Racing dates proposed for next season were received lrum most of the Clubs. The following circuit was resolved upon, subject to the approval of the trotting clubs. Dee. 27-28—Westland Pacing Club find Westport Trotting Club. Dec. 30.- Reefton Trotting Club. Dec. 31 A Jan. 1.-—Greymouth .Jockey Cl ul). Jan. 3.—Westland Trotting Club. Jan. I.—Greymouth Jockey Club (third day). Jan. 5-o.—Greymouth Trotting Club. Jan. 7-3. Reefton Jockey Club. For the Faster circuit dates were recommended as follows: April 18 (Easier Monday) and 19th. (if second day available) Kumara Pacing C'lltb. April 20.—Westland Pacing Club, and also recommended for use of Mottteka permit on April 21st. April 23.—Greymouth Jockey Club. April 27—Reefton Jockey Club, Westport and Nelson Clubs have not submitted racing dates as yet. With regard to thu Motueka permit, which has been abandoned, and which is being used this season by the Nelson Jockey Club, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr Behan, it was resolved the Westland Racing Club lie recommended to the Racing Conference for the future use of the permit.

It was resolved to write the Westport Club with regard to the payment of ou.standing levies. An application for a gentleman rider’s license was: referred hack to conform with th« rules for application.

Some final matters were discussed and the meeting concluded.
