OTTAWA, April 28. ' Liquor disclosure sensations have moved from Washington to Ottawa. Inspector Duncan, a high official in the Canadian Mounted Police, swore that Jacques Unreal., a formed Federal Minister of Customs, was furnished with large quantities of liquor free from gaol stores in tho province of Quebec with tho connivance of officials of his own department who handled the shipments on Bureau's behalf. It was argued before the commissioner that these shipments were merely taken from seized samples.

In tho Commons, Mr Cunligc Lister, replying to a question said migrants from Britain during tho last quarters of 1923, 1924, 1925 and 1926. respectively, were to Australia 10,192,10,159, 9,035, 12,160; to Canada 10,220, 10,998, 5,865, 8260; to the rest of tho Empire 6,003, 6,167, 7,588, 8483. FAST TRAVELLING. LONDON, April 28. At Pcndyne Sands, Thomas improved yesterday’s records, covering a kilometre at 1~1 kilometres an hour and a inilo at the rate of 170.624 kilometres per hour.
