TTie week-end rain litis teased, and the Australians were enabled to recommence practice at Lords, two matting wickets being available. The team, except Collins. Oldfield and Grimmett, are lit again, but the day was too dull and chilly to tempt them to don flannels. Gregory and Everett arc much faster on mf.itting than they were on the soft turf last week, but neither attempted extreme pace. Mailey, Macartney and Richardson made tin 1 ball turn a lot. but all were apt to pitch short. Gregory went in for big bitting. Taylor displnyed bis usual sound methods. but Everett's pace got through bis defence occasionally.
