AUCKLAND. April 20. Mr L. Beale. British Trade Commissioner for New Zealand is a passenger by the Niagara. When interviewed Air Beale said that Britain had captured a large, portion of Canadian ,m----oorts. He believed that the trade vita Britain would be maintained and that a steady increase be looked lot. *- could onlv attribute this to a more intensive cultivation, of the Canadian market by the British trade representatives. He did not think that N>‘" Zealand need regard Canada as a serious competitor in ’the butter trace, but Canada’s export trade is increasing and in a few years she would certainly be a competitor, but whether a serious competitor, lie could not sa> .
THE NORGE’S FLIGHT. LENINGRAD, April 25. Amundsen has telegraphed to Larsen from Spitzbergen that the moorinn- mast and shed is not vet ready. I arson and Nobile. therefore. are postponing the departure of the Norge. They will probably start on tbe 66th.
