The Commons, without division, carried the second reading of a private members’ bill introduced by air Glynn, tightening the restrictions on moneylenders, and limiting the interest to a maximum of forty-eight per.cent; forbidding the use of false names and sending of unsought circulars.Sir Joynson Hicks intimated tho Government’s general support and intention to facilitate the passage.
