REPORTED MISSING
AIR S. STEWART OF CiOLDSBOROUGH; The Police report that Air Samuel Stewart, of Ooldsborough, is missing since mid-day yesterday under peculiar circumstances. It appears that Mr Stewart left his home at Goldsborough yesterday morning about 11 o’clock, driving his horse in a spring cart for tho purpose of going to Kumara on a usual business run. Ho took some orders on the way, and "as Inst seen by Air Joseph Alanzoni near Callaghans. Seveu.il hours later, about 4.30 p.in., the horse and cart were found tied up near the Littlo Dam at AVaimea, there being evidence of his having turned back, and ho had not gone on to Kumara. Thero was no trace of Mr Stewart, ami on an alarm being given search parties in charge of Constable Fox of Kumara Wore engaged looking for a trace of Air Stewart, The big dam was run out, but no trace had since been found when the search was discontinued at mid-night until this morning. Search parties are . again out this morning.
