[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] A LYNCHING. NEW YORK, April 22. Harold Jackson, a white man, mis lynched at Poplurvillc, Mississippi. Jackson confessed to the murder of John McLemore and William .Maingay, Government Entomologists. A hand of twenty raided the gaol, and with blow torches opened the steel doors, carried Jackson two miles, and hanged him from a milway bridge. U.S. WAR HERTS'. WASHINGTON, April 22. Negotiations for funding the French, war debt will probably be taken up formally by the Debt Commission tomorrow, according to Mr .Mellon (secretary to the Treasury) who announced to-day that an understanding was virtually readied over the question. After a' conference, with Ambassador Tierenger the Italian debt arrangement was ratified by the House and approved by the Senate but not sent to the President for signature pending a move to have it. reconsidered by the Senate.
