In tho Federal Court, Judge Debolt denied a motion by the Union Steamship Company of New Zealand, the owners of tho motor ship “Aorangi,” to dismiss a suit for twenty-six thousand dollars for alleged damages, instituted by Air William and Mrs Mary Doobv, the British Vaudeville performers, who complained of their treatment aboard the Aorangi last year. The Court gave the defendants ten days either to answer or plead. Mr Doobv alleges that he and his wife were insulted by the officers of tho Aorangi. VOLCANO FLOW. HILO (Hawaii), April 21. OTTAWA, April 22. Australia was Canada’s best market for both passenger automobiles and trucks in 1925, according to a statement issued by tho Dominion’s Bureau of Statistics. New Zealand was follower by British India, Dutch East Indies, Straits Settlements. British South Africa, United Kingdom, Arfeiitina., Brazil and Uruguay in the order named. Eleven factories in the Dominion that year established a production record turning out 124,458 passenger cars, 22,144 trucks and 15,368 chassis. The total increase was 22 per cent, on 1924. The extension of British preference and an inactive domestic market are given as reasons for tho highest export shipments on record.
