ROSE IN ENGLAND. TRAINING QUARTERS. WELLINGTON, April ID. Upon their arrival in England, R. A. Hose and Sergeant M’llolm are to get into touch with l)r I’orritt, the council's representative in England, by whom their movements generally will be arranged and supervised. Sergeant M’Hcdm has been requested to present Dr Porritt a blazer and uniform in recognition of his services to New Zealand, both on and off the track. Rose's training quarters are to be outside London, and it is possible arrangements limy he made lor Ihe New Zealand champion to compete at some of the minor meetings before ho participates in the English Amateur Athletic Association’s championships, which will- he held on July 2 and 3. It is hoped that Dr Porritt will compete at this championship meeting as a New Zealand representative instead of ns a member oi the Achilles ( lub. t t.i ..-l. ..Mkliwr lmc

Although nothing has been settled regarding the route by which Rose and Sergeant Al’Holm will return to New Zealand, there is a feeling amongst members of the New Zealand Council that. if possible, the return l rip should he made by way of South Africa, in order that Rose might compete there and so return the compliment paid in sending the Afiican amateur athletic team to New Zealand.
