At the annual meeting of the Southland Boxing Association this evening, it was unanimously resolved to open up negotiations with a view to staging a professional contest between Jamito and Les Murray at Invercargill at an early date. DUNEDIN, April 20. Articles have been signed for a contest here on May 14, "lietween Les. Murray and Reg. Trowern, for the New Zealand lightweight boxing championship. LONDON, April 20. It was a fast, clean fight. Clark .started confidently, scoring rapidly. In the concluding rounds Soclis was severely punished, but he fought hack gamely. In the twentieth round Clark sent him staggering across Hie ring, and rushed for a knock-out, when the 'referee intervened. _______
