[Australian & N.Z. Cable Association.] LONDON, April 19. The -South Wales miners have rejected the coal owners’ offer to convene a joint conference to discuss a district settlement. LONDON, April 20. A Brussels firm has notified the Cardiff Colliery Company that, in the event of a strike, it is prepared to supp 1 v daily a minimum of ten thousand'tons of Belgian or German coal. Bradford wool market is extremely quiet, owing to fears of a coal strike. The Joint Engineering Trades Committee have decided to issue ballot papers, returnable on May 31st, on tho question of a strike to enforce the London application for an increase in wages of one pound weekly.
