ABAHUBA FAT STOCK SALE. At yesterday’s fixture in the -above yards the entry comprised 12 fat sheep, •Id f. and f. lambs. 41 fat- cattle, and JO .store cattle. There was a fair attendance of buyers and prices wore much better than at the last- fixture. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows:—On ac. of A. Jamieson 12 tat- wethers at 24s ; on ac. I). Diedrich, 2 blks at £lO, 2 n’t £l3. 2 at £l2 Ids, 4 at £l2 ss. 3 heifers at £7 2s 6d, 3 at £7 Ids, 1 cow at £7. 1 venter at Ld d-: On account of L. E. Laugoson 2 heifers at CIO 2s 6d, 1 cow at £7. 1 heifer at £4 12s t>d, 2 vealens at 27s Gd, 2 at 20s; On ac. V Graham. 3 cows at £d. I heifer at £8 17s (id. 2 heifers at -CO; on ac. P. McDonald, 1 cow at £7. 2 at £d 10, 2 yen lots at 28>. 1 at 27- (id. A large entry of store cattle sold at late prices The bulk of the entry wus dry cows and weaners .There was no line of quotable steers in the yarding. Lambs were in poor demand, those entered being passed. Before the stock sale yesterday a vote of sympathy was passed by the attendance of buyers and graziers present to Mr. M .11 .Houston and the members of bis family on the death of liis mother which occurred on Saturday. Messrs M. Houston and Co. report: The usual fortnightly sale .of fat stock was hold at the above yards when our entry comprised 40 head of fat cattle < which were submitted to a moderate i attendance of buyers. Competition ] was much better than at the previous fixture and the yarding was cleared at ; satisfactory prices. Our entry consist- t ed chiefly of lieifcr and cow beef which ; realised about 35s per hundred. The following were our sales: On ac.
