BURNED TO DEATH. - CHRISTCHURCH, April 20. Arthur Coflinson Campion, middleaged, was Burned to death at Riecarton this morning in a shed where he had been sleeping since his father’s death. He had been a mental hospital out-patient and was depressed. MUSICAL SUPERVISOR. AUCKLAND, April 20. The supervisor selected by the New Zealand Government for the new musical branch, of the Education Department. E. D. Taylor, arrived from England by the Romuera. He favours the teaching of folk songs and national •songs as a basis for musical training s _ for children, but he will survey th whole ground and consult, with the educational authorities before deciding on a definite musical policy.
