Never before in the history of international cricket has there been anything like the amazing scenes of welcome to tlie Australians. Two hours before the train’s arrival the streets , outside Victoria station were thronged with patiently waiting people. When the cricketers were recognised there was a spontaneous burst of cheering. Tlie crowd soon broke down the barriers and the cricketers amidst a surging mass made their way to the (Tiarabancs. which conveyed them to the Hotel Cecil. An unofficial guard of honour composed of men from tlie cruiser Melbourne, helped a strong force of mounted police to keep tho crowd back. A U STR ALIA X CR TCJvETE RS. LONDON, April 13. The Australian cricketers arrived at the Victoria Station at 6.15 from Dover. A thousand enthusiasts crowded the precincts of the station and platforms. overwhelming the visitors with deafening cheering. Gillignn and Mullein on behalf'of the Murylohone Club extended cordial greetings to the Australians who proceeded to the Hotel Cecil.
